WOMEN AND GIRLS' EDUCATION
Olivia Kraaijvanger
ABOUT ME

My name is Olivia Kraaijvanger. I am a junior at UCSB majoring in Economics, getting my certificate in Technology Management, and hopefully pursuing a minor in Professional Writing.
My mom worked with non-profit organizations and has a PHD in Human Rights Education. So, growing up I was always exposed to the issue and lack of women and girls educational opportunities in developing countries. It was challenging as a child to understand why I was allowed the privilege of going to school every day, but a girl just like me across the world never could.
I have become very passionate about this issue, even traveling to Morocco to volunteer at a school to teach English to children, and trying to find ways to educate myself and others on how prevalent and important this truly is.
That is why I chose my topic. I hope you enjoy looking through this showcase of my work, including graphic design images, a video, slideshow presentation, and consider donating to this cause.
